Access School Settings
After logging into your Schoolics admin dashboard, navigate to the school settings to begin configuration.
- • Click on Settings in the left sidebar menu
- • Select School Profile from the settings options
- • You'll see the school configuration form
Basic School Information
Enter your school's fundamental information. This data appears on official documents, reports, and parent communications.
- School Name: Enter your official school name as it should appear on all documents
- School Code/Slug: Create a unique identifier for your school (used in URLs)
- Contact Email: Official school email address for communications
- Phone Number: Primary contact phone number
- Physical Address: Complete school location address
Academic Structure Setup
Define your school's academic structure including education levels, classes, and sections.
- Education Level: Select Nursery, Primary, Secondary, or combination
- Class Structure: Add your classes (e.g., JSS1-3, SS1-3, Primary 1-6)
- Sections/Streams: Create sections if applicable (e.g., A, B, C streams)
- Academic Sessions: Set up your academic year/term structure
Branding Configuration
Customize the visual appearance of your Schoolics instance to match your school's brand identity.
- Upload Logo: Add your school logo (recommended: PNG, 200x200px minimum)
- Primary Color: Choose your school's primary brand color
- Secondary Color: Select a complementary secondary color
- Favicon: Upload a favicon for browser tabs (optional)
System Preferences
Configure system-wide preferences that affect how Schoolics operates for your school.
- Timezone: Set your school's local timezone
- Date Format: Choose your preferred date display format
- Currency: Set the default currency (NGN for Nigeria)
- Language: Select system language (English default)
Save and Verify
Review your settings and save them. Verify that all information is correct.
- Review all fields: Double-check for accuracy
- Click Save: Save your school profile settings
- Preview branding: Check how your logo and colors appear
- Test parent portal: Visit your public portal to see changes
